Whangarei Accessible Housing Trust Values
WAHT has the following values:
a) Participation of disabled people in the development, management and governance of the Trust;
b) Development of effective relationships and partnerships that assist the goals of the Trust and enable disabled people to live ordinary lives;
c) Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori as Tangata Whenua;
d) Informed and effective governance and management;
e) Innovative, sustainable housing solutions;
f) Long term financial sustainability;
g) In partnership with disabled people and their families, the Trust will:
- Provide and facilitate access to housing options that enhance people’s participation in community life.
- Develop a robust organisation that enhances the provision of innovative, sustainable community housing.
Along with members of the WAHT board and associated employees upholding these values, our Tenancy/Property Managers Assure Rentals also acknowledge that they will be representative of these values when engaging with WAHT’s tenants.
